Authentic knowledge with decades of combined experience

The DMSC is founded by Venerable Bhante Vimalaramsi who was a distinguished American Buddhist monk with more than 50 years of meditation practice.

  • Metta Vipassana principles and practices that he taught originated in the discourses of the Buddha in the Pali cannon. He referenced vipassanā insight and samatha tranquility as being equally yoked together in mediation (jhāna) both in theory and practice.
  • Discover the effortless path to higher states of meditation (jhānas) with the renowned 6Rs technique, backed by extensive research. Find out more at dhammasukha.org.
  • Benefit from our teachers' vast experience, who have mentored hundreds of students worldwide and led numerous transformative retreats.

What past participants have to say

Shubham

“I am able to sleep peacefully after a long time since I have begun practicing this meditation. It is helping me a lot. Waking up in the morning, practicing whole day and going to bed radiating loving kindness, compassion for oneself and everyone around practicing Dāna Paramitā is the best practice I have done so far and shall continue to do it. Many thanks to the entire TWIM team and Teachers (Venerable Monastic Sangha and Householders both). I wish them all well and success. ”

Sindhu

“I am deeply thankful for your guidance during this retreat, without your very specific pointers I would have been lost on the path as I had been before the retreat started. Gratitude expands in my heart each day for your support on this liberating journey. The past 10 days have been a blessing. I hope to meet you in person one day and talk dhamma because it's just so beautiful. ”
